Greg Whelan: Director
Since 1988, Greg has enjoyed a successful career in sales and marketing management, primarily working within blue chip organisations both in Europe and the US, The Ford Motor Company, Irish Life Assurance, Merck, Sharp and Dohme, Schering-Plough (pharmaceutical management) and most recently on the board of a UK based pharmaceutical company.
This period has enabled Greg to build up a high degree of skill in assessing the needs of a given enterprise or department within a market, in terms of its customer facing requirement, the strategies to take the business there and the back up processes to enable the maximum effect.
Successes have included the restructuring of sales forces, the initiation of focused recruitment relying upon competency based interviewing techniques ensuring the right person for the right role, the building of several ‘professional’ sales-teams, coaching chairmanship skills to senior management, providing motivational seminars for customer facing targeted members of staff.
Greg is a Director at AEW and is able to advise businesses, small and large from a position of strength on practical approaches to both sales and marketing development.
